They now accept credit cards! Food was good, homemade bread was delicious. Eggs Benedict was excellent. Home fries were a little mushy. Coffee was good and I'm a bit of a coffee snob. Overall good experience.

When you go into a place and there's only a couple other groups...and people get waited on before you when you were there first, something is wrong. We wanted to leave after not even being acknowledged for ten minutes but stayed. Food was alright but did not feel welcomed whatsoever

First off, they do not take credit cards so come with Cash or a check book. The place is somewhat small and it is seat yourself. Everything is home made. I think they could tell that we had never been there before and treated us with some very tasty Apple-bread as we ordered. The biscuits and gravy were generous and pretty darn good. I kept it tame with steak and eggs. However, the homefries were very, very good. Chunks of potatoe that were crispy were they had been on the griddle, and done right without being over-mushy (overdone). The deserts looked yummy but we did not partake. They had some milkshake concoctions listed on a whiteboard that tempted me but, alas, I with-held. Very homey place that has a rack for your keys and your hat as you walk in. I wished I would have noticed that before we were seated. No one makes a fuss if you keep your hat on but you would be the only one. One last point....even the coffee was good. I don't expect much out of diner coffee.....but this Oatley's keeps their quality to every portion of the meal. They are also open for lunch.

Homey feel of an old run down diner. Kind of on the dirty side. Dated decor, worn out a bit. Friendly enough staff and decent food. Bathroom was gross. I got gas before stopping for breakfast and wanted to wash my hands, should have probably used the gas station bathroom. Didn't want to touch anything in their's. Otherwise not much else in the area so if you aren't to picky or a clean freak it's fine.

Yum... Best breakfast great hash... Need to work on dinner. The staff is very friendly hand the food is always consistent I think that's the most important thing I know what I'm getting. Try the omelets and the Johnny cakes

Very very good food. Homemade bread for your toast was awesome. Homefries were basic but good fresh cut potato style with onion. Eggs were perfectly cooked as asked. Pancakes were good and fluffy. Waitstaff was very very helpful and attentive. Would def go back again without a doubt!!!! CASH ONLY!!!!

Good food. Good bread. Potatoes bland but I enjoyed them. I am really missing hash browns which I can't seem to find anywhere in Connecticut. The wait staff was very good, and friendly. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast

My husband and I go here frequently on Sunday mornings for breakfast. No frills, just basic good food in a homey atmosphere. If you're on a diet, I dare you to be good! The menu does accommodate you, but the other choices are just too tempting!

Nice, friendly service. Great, homemade breakfast - even the toast is homemade bread. Cheap prices too. Best johnny cakes I've ever had. Don't bring the credit card, because it's cash only.

This is a great place for simple food done well. The turkey is real and cooked daily making it a fantastic choice in sandwiches or as part of an full meal. The bread is fresh baked and Oatleys serves breakfast all day. I have never been there that the place is not packed but somehow there always seems to be one booth clearing out just when we want to sit down. Surprisingly, their dessert selection is really limited so if it's a sweet you're craving this might not be the best choice.

This is a nice place for home-cooked meals, especially breakfast. The wait staff is friendly. This is a good joint if you're looking for a traditional American breakfast at a decent price. Sunday mornings are crowded, so expect a wait. Good homemade toast.
